Ottawa, May 21st 2013 – The report Emergency in the House, written by the Popular Travelling Commission on the Right to Housing following 19 public assemblies held across Quebec’s 17 administrative regions, will be presented during a press conference on Parliament Hill, in Ottawa. Independently written by 14 commissioners with diverse areas of expertise, the report paints a worrisome portrait of the state of housing and homelessness, particularly for Nunavik and indigenous communities. The report outlines 21 recommendations, 4 of which are directed towards the federal government.
